Feeling out process but i see a problem

I have not even tried to make a beat my question tho is when i habe it in controller mode ot looks for the PC periodically.. i habe it connected usb 3.0.. also best way to use my neltar P6 keyboard.. or just a midi key board.. 1 to play samples in standalone or controller mode and to control vsts

Yea controller mode needs the software to run. Get yourself a USB midi keyboard and just plug the mfer in the back. I use an advance 49 and Arturia keystep. I like sitting on my porch with the keystep and live with my headphones, only 2 cords, the headphones and USB. You can get a Bluetooth keyboard if this next update brings Bluetooth connections and have only a head phone wire if it's battery powered.

there usb on the nektar P6 wondering if it will be able to work well with reason? also i have not tried much yet just asking .. Thanks for your help...

is it normal for the screen on the MPC to periodically say looking for PC?

Hell yeah bro. I USB my midi keyboard to the lappy which runs Akai software and rock out. I don't midi it to the MPC Live. Though like you ssid l could.

Yes. Plug the USB into the live and open up some midi tracks to see how it functions. Routing in reason will take some setting up but there are others here with that same setup. The mpc will say looking for computer while turning on controller mode and opening up mpc software. I'd imagine you would have to open reason, turn on controller mode and then have the mpc vst open in reason to control it. I could be wrong. I use it mainly standalone and taking my stems over the memory card to ableton. It works as a vst on thier but don't make my tracks on the software just import them. someone here can help you better. It seems normal to me and might be some work setting up but once you get a template you should be straight.

Nope you're absolutely right. You can open up MPC software in Reason9.5 being it takes vsts. Those two connected is the most beautiful setup. Yo CB lm going to hook up a template for that. Reason is my mixing DAW ans S1v3 is my mastering DAW but l will mix in it by next year.
Im getting ready to build me a beast main computer. So when l rock CPU will be solid.

Also im thinking to have both reason and mpc 2.0 in cubase using my mackie mcu and extenders to mix my sounds.... looking for a smooth process.. hopefully
