Question regarding MPC Live

I apologize in advance if this has already been covered. I've searched but I have not really seen any answers.

Before I purchase the MPC Live I would like to know if the following is possible;

I want to create a sequence / setlist with stereo audio stems for live to play along to.
For example ; One track has the stereo stems and another track is armed with a piano/synth/instrument so that I can play along to.

I have read that there are limitations to the size of audio that can be loaded due to the RAM constraints.

If this makes sense to anyone I would love to hear if this is actually possible. I would like to ditch the Laptop setup and replace it with one MPC Live unit.

Yes it is but you only get 8 audio stereo tracks.

Keep in mind that you only have around 500mb.
Another problem: no matter which format you load in (mp3, wav with 16bit...)
the mpc will convert it to 44.100/24bit.

You didnt know that??

Hell to the nawz l didnt know that. Because that fool Andy said there were 2GB and never said 1500 was taken up and we are left with 500mb. Where did you get the info on that from.

I would guess.
500mb is better than 32mb but 1Gb-500mb is freakin even better.

Thats how i plan to do it. I split our liveset into two parts.... every part taking around 75 percent of ram.
Loading them from ssd takes 13 seconds. thats quite ok

Funny thing: even on the live`s box is standing "2gb for sampling"
It was a real bummer finding out that after 500mb the ram is full.

my mpc live project is 303 mb, and i still got messages about low memory, when i play it. don't even use looper, audiotracks and clips, only lots of sequences and drum programs. so it might be even less than 500 mb in some cases :/

How do you calculate your MB?It doesn't matter if you're loading MP3's or WAV's or whatever...I've read somewhere in the forum that Live will automatically convert the file to 24bit/44.1KHZ..Try to load 5-6 MP3 House tracks for yourself and watch that memory message popping up..That's why i've asked Disk Streaming as a feature request...Keep pushing it people!
