need some help coverting 32 bit to 16 bit

what up yall here's my problem i have these sample that are 32 bit samples and they wont load up into my mpc , how can i convert them to 16 or 8 bit so that my mpc2kxl can read them . first time i ever ran into something like this, or is there a way to change a setting on the mpc so that it will except these, i've tried to convert them on CEP but that didnt work or i was not doing it right.
please help i desprate need i'm working on some stuff i need these sounds

are you exporting it as a PCM wav file ?
does CEP give u bit output options when exporting ?

yes,yes it does, but none of thats helping out it still reads 32bit and when i put it in the mpc it reads not 16bit file cannot read,
cant figure it out it really gettin to me

no it's not an mp3 it's already a wav it's just 32 bit i need to convert the bit rate to 16 or 8 bit the mpc wont except 32bit not even 24 bit, the file is 32bit mono , i'm taking it from the computer to my mpc

open it in audacity and then save it as a .wav file and you should be sweet

If you use windows, you should be able to do this with the crappy "sound recorder" app in accessories/entertainment.

soundforge- resample....check sample properties after wards will read 16-bbit down the bottom...may need to repitch once inside mpc depending on other settings used...

yo man ! i tried that stuff and it dont work, i took the file in wave lab and converted it to 8bit mono and it still comes out 24 bit and the mpc still wont read it ,it says NOT 16BiT WAVE FILE.
this file is from an e-mu drumulator, is there somekind of lock on these that wont let you use on another machine.

yo just take the sample. do save as. make it a 16 bit wave file. and u fine. dont try to resample or reconvert it in wavelab, just save as.

thats the thing it wont let me cause when i check the properties it stillsays
it's a 32 or 24 bit , belive me i've tried everthing save as convert batch convert thru it in CEP, cubase, wave lab, i guess i'm might have to just ssample it off the comp, sht sht sht

Sounds For Apple GARAGEBAND and I Was Able 2 Make 16 bit 44.1 WAV

The Only Other Possibility is tha U Have Files That Are Protected Check the File Properties 2 See if they are Still "READ ONLY" Tagged and UNCHECK IT ..............................

yea they they are read only checked, i un checked it and nothing
