Hey fellas.. Any of you have the x with an advanced keyboard? I'm interested how they are pairing. Are you able to use the X to navigate the VIP? Im under the impression you can navigate and control your vst's while connected to the computer. Can you just fire up VIP and run all your instrument threw it, but controlled via the touch screen on x?

Thanks. Looking at grabbing the X this winter.

I've used the advance and a live. Haven't used it much in controller mode to see if the vip software transfers. I can check it out this weekend. The advance works awesome with the new mpc's imo

VIP 3 package is out now, downloaded not installed it yet though.
Got an Advance 25 still waiting on my MPC X to be delivered... Wish I got the 49 but the 25 was dirty cheap.
Be cool if the advance plays nicely with the X when I try'em together :smoker:

Thanks for feedback guys. Let me know what that 3.0 offers paired with the new gear and software. :worthy:

After looking at the 3.0 update.... Masada, can I just download the $99 VIP software and use it with my maudio 88 keystation pro? Does the software only purchase still come with all plugins the same as getting one of the advanced keyboards?

A few months ago I was Interested in this as well but than i woke up and came to the conclusion that the Advance range is too overpriced.. If I want to control vst's I can just use the X for that. No need to be controlling vst's from the Advance and as well from the MPC X.

So I went for the M-Audio Code 61 (white edition) instead.. No regrets so far..

Code 61 is a way better choice imo.

Dam! That Code 61 is only $349 :WTF: Thats a good dam price for 61 keys and it controls Air Instruments. Plus the keys have that weighed key look. Just hate that wheel pitch bend.

Akai Professional Advance 61 Keyboard Controller VIP 3.0 sounds good on paper. The Advance is $600? Nah that is totally ridiculous.

I thought the Advance would be similar to how well the Komplete Kontrol integrates with Maschine, so I bought it and was disappointed. I don't even use mine Advance now--but maybe VIP 3 will improve the functionality.

I've never wanted a midi only kybd but the nektar panorama would be my first choice.

It was cheaper.. I got mine for €265,- but they've hiked it up when they released the black edition..
