That's what lm saying. Today there is no industry standard. You have Reason , Logic, Sonar, FL Studio, Bitwig, Cubase, Nuendo, etc.
To many programs to say which is the standard and we shouldn't care. Grab one or two or thtee of them for your own individual use and rock out.
Protools is the industry standard because major studios invested heavily into it and it works. HDX or HD systems work great with the Mac.

Hey bro l,m just waiting for this 2.0.5 to come. I want it to clear up the bad bugs that are out there. Though mines is working perfectly l feel bad for a person who bought the same machine and have to rant that their machine is not working correctly. Every one that spent their hard earn money buying these machines deserve them to work 100%!
If a person bought the X, screens shouldn't get stuck, button should work etc. I was never a person to have a bunch of Akai stuff. Most l had was their 88 keyboard , MPC 2000- 2000XL, LPD8 and now the Live. That's all l wanted was those pads and that beautiful sequencer. Aaagghhh how l ove the tightness of the Sequencer. And being it has software , instruments and effects just takes the cake. That is all l'm interrested in with Akai.

Like Propellerheads they are dropping a new hot update with new synths etc. Its F***ing Hot! Im a beta tester. They gave the date October 25th. This us what l love about their compamy they beta test first then have you to buy or give it for free depending the outlook of the company. Its a freakin mystery when things are coming from Akai. They are pissing people off with the nonsense. I can right now sell my Live and still rock because Propellerheads has dealt with delay compensation. I can use the flimsy LPD8 and make complex drums and they will be on the grid. The dam delay compensation button sits right their in the sequencer window for you to turn on and off. How sweet is that?

So Akai needs to come correct with this and future updates. Some one mentioned Akai need to hire better developers which is very true.
2.0.5 need to be on point. They can lose customers. I hve a funny feeling one of these companies gonna get that sequencer like the MPC abd take off. I love the fact not being connected to the computer and doing my drums and exporting my patterns so l can do what l do. And thats it. Im inside the box is my advantage to make music without all the hardware.
This update needs to be tight.

Dam shame you can't make music because of Akai's mess up.

You and l both will have to pay$129 for Reason 10, which l really don't mind.
Those new synths Props got etc is nuts. Im telling you its off the chain!

This is how Akai should be.

Can't wait for this one, or the next one for the digitakt.

Ran into the pitch bend issue when trying to sync an asr I found cheap to it. Forgot how dope that keyboard was. Lucky the asr has a sequencer but man that's just dumb. Can only use pitch bend on the live itself. Either way, the live is the beast on the drums.

That's what l use if for basically is drums. If l want to use the Air sounds l just use the computer. I have fun doing drums on that thing..

What's up NOC

They're probably already paying him 130-150k as is... I'm saying they could put another 50 on top of that..

Danoc wrote:WATS THE DEAL FRANKWHITE!
I don't cate for blue tooth nor wifi l don't need that to make music. Never did never will.

You hit it in the head bro. But they will not pay 50 stacks. They live buggin out.
Plus a top programmer won't just take 50 stacks they will want more.
FrankWhite4Mayor wrote:What’s up NOC!

Hiring someone with more advanced programming abilities for an additional 50 stacks is certainly worth the investment as opposed to missing out on potential revenue that is being diverted to competitors.

I don’t care about wifi or Bluetooth. I just want the damn real-time timestretch in stand-alone. That code/technology has existed for over a decade. One programmer by them selves could have implemented this over the year+ timeframe in which 2.0 was allegedly under development.

Akai, show me what you got! :smoker:
