The new update 2.0.5 for X and LIVE is up

proper update!
allready found some fixes of issues i had with clicks on audiotracks while in slave mode, clips lagging...etc.

but don´t put up high hopes on that timestretch feature in drum programs...
transcients **** up after #/- 1 bpm of tempochange, artefacts galore!

"flat out" pad conversion is great!
List editor is great!
copy events in grid is finally there too...!

sadly no direct-disc-streaming yet...

I haven't tried it on drum programs but if you mess with the pitch and the times stretch is seems to process it better. In clip launch mode, I was actually impressed by how it handled the changes.

That's a pretty big update.

X been runming great also cant wait to update my firmware... wow this should keep the complaining down while the haters read for a bit.....lol!

Complaints down? Are you crazy? Man next thing complainers going to want Akai to do is ask the Live and X to scramble eggs in the morning and be able to have sex with a female of their dreams. Smh

Time stretch works great, but you have to change the BPM setting to approximate tempo of the sample, after you activate the warp. Keep dialing the BPM until it sounds like the original, then tweak the pitch and length to suit your needs. I was dismayed when I took a simple horn flourish, and it sounded busted and artifact-y, as you say.

Gosh darnit, you can now copy midi notes.

"Copying" actually only works as duplicating notes (but at least you have the newly created notes selected so you can nudge them wherever), but if you go to seq edit -> copy events, you can actually copy only Selected events to where you want.
I first thought this is clunkier than in previous MPCs, but actually it's more precise (i.e., you don't have to copy all events of pad A1...you can only copy some A1 stuff if you wish to do so).
