Is it possible to update to v2.0.5 without having the MPC software v2 installed on the PC ?

I bought the Live as a standalone and I do not (ever) want to use it in controller mode, hence is there an akai windows driver i could install and after run the v2.0.5 update (currently the PC is asking for a driver)?

Thanks in advance

Ok, can you post a link where I may download a suitable win driver?

Register your device or if it is it will be in your akai account. You can update without the software but you will need the driver

Thanks for the replies BUT I'm still not there:-

Yes, it is registered but there is no driver in my account (checked before I posted - & just checked again)!

The driver is not listed on that link, or on Live downloads?

Can anyone who has the driver post please. (windows)
Thanks

I am sure that you do not need a driver to update the Live with the standalone firmware update application.

The Live will not connect to the PC - PC asks for driver?!

The mpc does not need a driver to push the firmware!!! Stop being daft.

If you already have the firmware on your computer, double click to open it up an put it into "update". Go to the live, pug up the USB, turn on the live, go to info and pres SHIFT then tap UPDATE (whilst keeping shift down).

Boom.

What version of windows you running? Try a different one.

Thank you that was the issue ----- and for anyone else that has the following windows message "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)"

See... not being 'daft'.

Many thanks to everyone who chimed in.
