Sup, I've been using my MPC 2kxl to sequence my 2 synths, my MIDI has always been hooked up like this... Out from the MOTIF and IN to MIDI 1 on the MPC, Out from MIDI 1 on the MPC back In to the MOTIF, Same goes for My Roland Synth except for Being on #2 or B as some say... That has worked fine for me for 2 years... I finally got a Boss Br-864 to track my stuff and was wondering about how to Sync it up to the M.P.C. Via MIDI There are no more MIDI Outs on the MPC obliviously, I just need some sort of diagram or something... Thanks and nice forum by the way![/b]

You can use the THRU of one of your External synths or get a MIDI Patch bay. and use one of them.

"Like my good friend and invaluable forum-member Penfold already stated:
There's two ways to provided you do all your sequencing on the mpc, and don't need to play 16 patches at a time:
1. mpc midi-OUT A --------> Motif midi-IN
Motif midi TRU ----------> Roland midi-IN
Mpc midi-OUT B --------> Multitracker (for sync)
The good thing about this setup is that you have a dedicaded midi-port for syncing, if you play a lot of midinotes on the same port that you use for sync it's supposed to be less acurate (i've never noticed it myself though)
2. mpc midi-OUT A --------> Motif midi-IN
Motif midi TRU ----------> Multitracker (for sync)
Mpc midi-OUT B --------> Roland midi-IN
This will give you 32 patches on your synths instead of 16 cause you're using both A and B for synths.
