2.0.2.6 is the latest version of the computer software, it's the second release since the initial launch. It's the version used exclusively in controller mode. Akai have not yet updated this to match the features they've recently added to the standalone firmware (e.g it doesn't have a list editor, no DRUM warping etc).

For some reason (human error I assume) it is not available under the MPC Live listing in my Akai account, the download link given points to the 'first_beta.zip' (2.0.11). I downloaded 2.0.26 from the link given for my registered MPC Touch. Others on Facebook are reporting the same. They also reckon that the updater in the software itself is also not giving them 2.0.2.6.

Dam so lm stuck at 1.0.6? That's crazy. I don't see it in my account either.

Ima leave it cause my controller mode works perfect.

There isn't a 1.0.6 edition. I think you're referring to the hardware control firmware, that's just the low level firmware similar to the BIOS in a pc, it does stuff like ensuring the screen turns on, power management etc. Open up the Mpc software in your computer and go to the 'about' screen, this will say either 2.0.11 or 2.026

I have tried several times to update to 2.0.2 via the MPC software but when I "check for upadates" in the software it keeps telling me I am on the latest version, which is 2.0.1.11 build 97999
