that blokes review made me envisage myself sat in front of the unit 2 G's down experiencing freezing and flickering..

personally it helped solidify my outlook that i'm definitely not going to get one until either the price tag drops or it proves to be a complete product....

people are so fuggin sensitive these days......just because someone posts something you don't like it doesnt make it trolling

Food for thought...informative...it is a known software bug which was solved with the latest firmware release....plus...you are not even speaking from your own experience...i can tell you that my X has no issue whatsoever....so that's MY review...

So...it has shit to do with what i am not liking what you are posting...just the fact that from all 100's of MPC X video's you pick the least informative one with a "review" title called "MPC X CRASHED ON ME"...stop selling bullcrap to me...

I have zero issues.. software is coming along..maybe that video shows a beginner with zero skillz.. please buy one and try it u can return if you cant afford one get a go fund

Everyone has a right for their own opinion but I don't think that it's wise to let his experience (Faulty MPC X) influence your decision to buy it or not.

Out of 500 units 2 or 3 may be faulty. And one of those guys posts a video about it. (And he probably has it replaced already).

But you don't see the other 497 people who have a good unit post videos about it. And now that this guy has his unit replaced you don't see him making a followup video.

So it's best to try it out yourself than letting his bad experience be the drive of your decision.

i am going to goose it when one comes to my local PMT....they've only got the Live at the minute...

but if issues like these are down to software / firmware bugs then i personally believe its unacceptable..

for a piece of gear that expensive they should have been ironed out prior to its release....

Few machines were faulty, Akai's fault. Some installed the wrong installment. Not all machines are faulty.

In Living Bates defense.Had the Ren and it was glitchy. My homie had the same thing and l didnt buy into it. Well know how Akai moves. The X is not cheap. LB has the right to be skeptical bout this purchase. So if he gets it and it doesnt work what will people say then? Sorry? That's not going to cut it. Its his pockets he gets to choose not us.

I thought the same way, should I buy this or not, and I jumped in because I wanted to get back to what I was doing and needed the new technology, and from reading the specs it was definitely better than the 2000XL. But I thank Allah for me having no big issues with the Live, and I have noticed that Akai seems to be TRYING to get on board with the updates. They know they Fugged up when they introduced the 5000 and Just Blaze, Blazed them for a poor product. I hope everyone can enjoy their machine and don't have problems. But Please beware, some of the people cause problems themselves because they don't know what their doing.

There's 2 sides to these machines.one us good one is bad.

Well i agree but a few bad mpcs should stop u from buying u can always get extended warranties..

You know, mpc live and the x for a person who's into making music is like crack to a crack addict. Like crack, the mpc live and x can sell itself. You guys goes to a marketing scheme, trying to convince a person to buy a mpc live or a x. The title of this thread is [Do I Really Need To Add The MPC X To My Collection?]. The OP question has een answered pages ago: "No one can decide it for you only yourself" and "If you really need to ask this question probably not"

After that this thread started to de-rail from it's tracks..

The only way he knows if he needs it is looking at the specs and and seeing if it helps his work flow.
