Yes sir. I never liked that machine, all I love is the MPC, and the new ones is dope. that New Maschine MKII is not all that. It's still connected to a computer, it is not a standalone, and its not to my liking definitely can't stand the sequencer of it. You gotta get use to it. I just jumped right on the Live and started rocking and I didn't have a MPC since 2012.

I bought the studio and K61 from NI 2013 still owned the 2500 at that time before selling this year.. Also still have the 2000 and 3000 but just was to old to really do a beat when you dont have alot of time and want your ideas out fast.. NI software give you a POP music feel no real head nod to it i know with time you can do it.. it just not what i was use..

When I use Triton Extreme by itself I don’t feel compelled to make hard beats at all. I feel like I need to come with serious melody and pay less attention to drums. IDK why, it just happens.

Nothing wrong with having options!

options are great and its true I work in reason same thing .. Maschine I can make decent beats always had the right feel for the MPC

I know exactly what you mean. When I upgrade from the mpc2k to the 4k. I felt like it's was almost a chore to start a project and create programs and assign samples to pads, on the 4k compared to the 2k. The 4k's operating system had the most options and features of any past mpc, but the fast and smooth workflow was the sacrifice we lost to have all the never before options and features. You couldn't go to the 4k and lay down a quick beat from a ideal you had in your head. Unless you already had some project with programs you created store away to quickly use. If you start from scratch with the 4k, that ideal is long gone after setup. Everything had to be assign to something in the project, in a way the project will allow performance action. I created more weak beats with the 4k, than any of the six mpcs I owned.

But when I upgrade from the 4k to the 5k. I made better tracks again, because the operating system workflow was similar to 2k. If you can get past the 5k's random glitches.

Favorite MPC4000 tracks, I created.

Imo the 2kxl is the one it's just so easy,luv that machine just the right amount of features and easy to master... If your into the ASR10 pair that with an 60II or 3000 "mind blowing ish"
