Hello, i have a question about muting audiotracks. I try to explain my problem as easy as i can:

MPC Live in standalone mode:

Sequence 1 - 4 Bars

Track 1 = beat with internal drumkit
Track 2 = Korg synthesizer bassline, played as midinotes

Audio1 = recorded the synthesizer and muted track 2

Now the problem starts:

Sequence 2 (copy of 1)

I wanted to mute Audio1, but it also muted it in Sequence 1. So i can´t make a song with these mysterious - so called - audiotracks by this way.

Solution?:

Do i have to put the Audiotracks onto a new programm, to trigger them as a midinote?

Everything could be so easy if i only could mute audiotracks in different sequences :(

Here is a picture where i tried to play several audiotracks on the 2.0 Software, but i had to lenght the sequence....

Thanks for any help / ideas

Unless your warping the audio use as samples, if the truncate to sequence is turned off they will play beyond the length of the sequence.
Haven't got it in front of me so can't check but fairly sure it works that way.

I'm having the same problem on the MPC Live with Audio tracks... I make a copy of a sequence and mute an Audio track and then it mutes that audio track for all the sequences. So the process is to trigger the sample from the audio track onto a pad/program? If so what is the purpose of these audio tracks? Thanks.

Just ran into the exact same issue, elfwaves

Not sure how to work around this, seems like muting an audio track in a sequence shouldn't impact it on another sequence.

Anyone knows a resolve?

Had this exact problem yesterday. I actually really like audio tracks...sadly this kills it.

Either a bug or really really poor design decision. The basic sequencer functions should be available in both midi and audio tracks. Multiple sequences of audio tracks should recognised.

My workflow plan was to build one sequence with all layers (and had 4/5 audio tracks) and the duplicate multiple times and just mute parts of each sequence separately. But this is impossible as you can't mute the audio in individual sequences. Guess I could record the audio track and layer on a midi program, but what's the point of an audio track!!!!!

I thought i missed something.. but I now read it is actually not possible to mute audio tracks in individual sequences... This is really strange indeed and renders audio tracks pretty useless.

Wouldn’t you know it, I just came across the same issue. I guess the only way round it is to make it a sample, assign it to a pad and then mute the pad on your sequence.
