Really missing the workflow from my JJOS Mpc 1000 and some of the looping features in loop mode.

When I sampled in loop mode recording wouldn't start still a threshold was reached, is it something Im missing or is this not possible in the looper of the 1000?

One thing I really wish I could do with this live or even my mpc 1000 was loop on the fly without stoping the sequencer.

It would be great if I could make loop and assign it to a pad, then have it automatically start playing while I start working on a new loop, maybe what Ill do is record a midi note on each of the 16 pads before I start looping;

i may not understand what u mean but a way of looping midi is blast ur bpm to the lowest and the bars to whatever you want
quantize off then record
pick the part u want and nudge it to the start in grid view and delete what u dont want
explode it so it becomes in different parts (i only use this for drums)
then bounce the tracks to audio or what it says
then make sure ur audio is now not warped
change sequence and bpm so it loops how u want
again i might misunderstood

The looper does seem confusing, same with the clip launch mode, at least for me. It's easier to do both with cheaper gear, I know it's not its main purpose like a sp 404 but those are simple machines that get the job done.
