Forgive me for asking but...
Im completely new to mpcs.
if i am working on one project, and i want to start another, do i have to save, then turn off the mpc x, or is there another option?
I don't see a "new project" option unless its on the home screen.

I haven't had to do what you said but you don't have to cut off the entire machine. Just save your project on a SD card or hard drive of your chosing. Name your project.

Delete the program, tracks, and kits (the sounds that you put on the pads). Everything should be clear.

Once that happens you just load up new sounfs/kits to the pads and bang out.

I suggest you make a dummy project with sounds and work on saving your projects until you get it.

Also you can but MPC Tutors MPC Bible and it will help you with everything you need to know.

Peace

Don't listen to the clueless dude above, you don't have to manually delete everything :Sigh:

Just hit the folder icon on the top bar (above bpm) and then hit NEW and you start with an empty project.

You have to assign your recorded sample to a pad first. Then hit the pencil icon next to program and save your sample from there.
