Because the only way that you can do it is with 3rd party software, and that’s something that they can not guarantee will work properly.

Actually lm having no issues with the new and old versions of each. It froze on me once the first time l installed it and after that its been good. I assign my drums to a pad make the pattern then go to controller mode. Working is faster.

He uses the same input but it’s confusing. Not sure why he doesn’t multi track through differnt inputs, so it seems like it can be done. In standalone even,

what is the issue? i have the X. i have a lot of hardware components.

what do you need to see to prove or disprove the X can multitrack in STANDALONE? i don't use the software so i can't comment on that end.

I just wAnted to know if the x can multitrack from the differnt inputs.... I thought it was impossible, but looks like it might be possible.

on the X i setup two audio (stereo) tracks.

track one was set to input 1.2
track two was set to input 3,4

the X has a dedicated "rec arm" button just under the VU meter display.

i rotated the big ass jog dial to track one, hit rec arm. same for track two.

hit play start and rec and both tracks recorded at the same time.

you can also go into track edit screen and press and hold SHIFT to enable more than one audio track to record.

this also works on the LIVE as well.

there's only so many analog inputs on the X. since each analog track is a stereo pair, you can have several mono input devices (if you don't need stereo panning information whilst recording them, such as a mono bass synth for example) on each l/r of an input.

bear in mind though, analog files are waves so they are heavy and take up quite a lot of memory.

Just had a session, and no. It's just…not a very professional look putting out a product looking like that there.

I feel you. But we are talking about Akai. I was scared to down load it.
