Support and discussion for all of Akai’s modern standalone MPCs including the MPC X / X SE, MPC Live 1, 2 & 3, MPC One / One+, MPC Key 37/61.

All in all I'm pleased with the LIVE however there are some glaring omissions I hope are addressed sooner rather than later.

1. Multitimbrality has been present in every standalone unit. How is this not available? Crazy.

2. Crossfade loops.

3. Some form of arpeggiator.

Auto multisampling has been strongly hinted at by Dan on GS
Though just being able to set the root and high and low range using an external keyboard would be a huge time saver.

- attack for the lfo
- a second lfo
- filter kbd tracking
- some kind of slop / randomizer / humanizer feature
- autoload folder
- tape effect

would be nice

but what i really want are bug fixes and all the features from the 4000 and jjos that are still missing

really? where? can‘t find it in the filter section.

My bad thought the KBD-FLT was for tracking, must RTFM :Sigh:
some bad labelling there, should be AFT-FLT, though there is a control on the LFO page labelled AFT-FLT for external keys so unless the KBD-FLT is only aftertouch for the pads it makes no sense.
Perhaps the manual is wrong and KBD-FLT actually is tracking, will test later.

Automageddon wrote:REAL AUTOMATION EDITING!
It's 2017, there is a touch screen on the units and Akai still expects us to edit the automations one by one by changing the numbers?

IMHO, this – along with lack of PDC – is one of the most frigging ridiculous things about these devices. Whether they're just not skilled enough to do it, I don't know, but this is one of the things that screams to me that they really rushed the things to the market.
You can not justify not being able to see let alone edit automation with a touch screen in 2017 (soon 2018 goddangit).

This is 50% of what stopped me from buying an X.
