If you don’t see atapi then your ribbon cable is bad, your drive is bad or drive is not getting proper power.

Theses are the things that will stop you from seeing ATAPI.

also let me suggest this -
take yer card and make a 1gb FAT16 partition on it. see if the mpc can see that.

yea you might waste space but what are ya gonna do?

i think walmartian is on the right trail saying to use smaller cards...

I've told people that same thing many times before BUT people seem to always want to
put the biggest card ever in there. I've used a 512mb card and a 1gb LEXAR card, formatted on PC with FAT, used 8 character filenames forever and have never had problems. Ever. AND the cards I use work in both Triton Extreme and 2kxl.

I used ckrename to batch name files.
