I'm not even a massive fan of drummachines, but I do own it, and all its sounds just always fit so damn well in the mix.
I recently saw the Egyptian Lover demo of the new TR-08, and at least compared to the OG 808, it sounded way thinner.
I find the TR8 sounds very full and fat.

Do you have a track on your soundcloud with the TR8?

I came to realise I was just gassing.
I have an A4 and honestly, not much else I need for drum synthesis. I can layer on the A4, or just resample and layer in the Live.
Might still add a Volca kick to my setup.

It is really, really hard and I'm not sure I won't cave in, but at least I reduced the gas to something cheaper, like a Volca Kick or a LXR Drum diy kit.
I was originally looking at Tempest or the new Jomox...
