My MPC LIve screen goes blurry after sitting for a few minutes?
It will snap back to clear screen after touching the screen, but wont from hitting the pads. Kind of annoying because i am using other gear alongside the MPC and have to tap the MPC screen to clear it up if I want to look at it.

Anyone else having this issue?

ok its the screen dimming! but now it is working when hitting a pad (eg brings back clarity).
But the problem still remains that when it dims it goes blurry af. Like drops the resolution by more than half. Looks like an old computer monitor thats all fuzzy.
Frustratingly i cant take a picture of it because my phone camera cant focus on it properly

1 min

But makes no difference which time I use, they all go blurry and freeze up the screen after the timeout time.

Does yours just dim?

LMAO... That’s the Live in “sleep mode”.
My Live and Touch both does this.

But it will come out of sleep mode by touching the pads...I don’t know what’s up with yours.

Yeah it comes out of sleep mode.. but does yours go so blurry the text is unreadable and all visual elements freeze?
Eg the timeline of a pattern freezes as soon as the screen goes into "sleep mode"

anyway I just returned my MPC Live about an hour ago

Good to know, I searched all over the internet for any info about this and couldn't find a thing! so figured mine was busted :?

Btw the shop guys said the Mpc Live and X has had one of the highest failure rates they have seen for a product. So many different issues that they have RMA'd.
Food for thought about Akai's QC

Blurring and dimming is the screensaver doing it's thing.
Menu -> preferences -> hardware -> Screen dimming

The screen also wakes when touching the top of any Qlink.

 well it would be great in the manual if it said that, because it looks dodgy as fook.
normally on any other piece of gear, screen dimming means the screen goes darker, not 'becomes completely unusable'.

I think you should see it as a screensaver. It just takes a snapshot (still image), dims the screen and blures it out until you press a button. My X does this as well but it doesn't bother me.

You have a potential bug because you touch it and nothing happens.

Have you tried turning off sleep mode? I turn all that shit off in the beginning in the settings menu. My Live stay lit

Danoc can't be arsed with that either.
