ABLETON LIVE 4

Well I finnaly got my copy of this little program. I say little because of the in compared to what it offers. This is a very easy program to use. It to me all of a 10 min to find everything I would normaly use. so Im like wow there has to be a catch so I tried to do things like automate the EQs fx panning mute on/off sync sample timestratch ect and everything worked and was easy to get to. well worth checkin out

Man, I thought you had it. I used to be a hardware nut. My friends you to

try to get me into software. I would always go on about the sound

quality. Anyways what takes normally minutes to hours to do takes a few

seconds with software. I am not feelin the sequencer of Ableton as much

as the sequencer on the 3000 or 2000, but after using MPC sequencers

for 8 years it is a breath of fresh air. I got a whole ton of drums and half

a garage full of records( Im feelin music again, money can't buy that ) I

think some vst's and au's like Spectrasonics Trilogy is all I need more. I'll

be straight for a while...

Ableton Live 4 is IMHO the only software sequencer solution to work with when you're live on stage (and don't have your MPC with you) like the others said ... very easy to use or learn it, a Tutorial is included.

If you want get that Ableton Live 4 Power series book from Thomson Course Technology by Chad Carrier and Dave Hill Jr. It really breaks it down and the info you learn can transfer back to the 4k functions too.

Yeah I read A little of it and borders books even before I got the program. I ended up getting there book on sampling and synthisis wich has a brake down of Kontact 1.5 by NI which Is another program I like to use. I also bought there book on Nuendo 2.0 whiche helped out alot. There line of books have yet to disapoint me. My birthday is comming up I need to put a bug out for there ableton book ass a gift.

Well, if you like the MPC's sequence feel, then use it to program Ableton. Their's nothing
stopping you from Setting up Ableton to have the MPC trigger it's samples on and off,
as well as for Sequenceing the VSTi's.

Then you can do all of you sequencing on the MPC , to trigger the live clips and to sequence the VSTi's.

Will give you more of a hands on feel of Ableton, while keeping the familiarity that you are
used to.
