MPC 2000XL Swing-Amount function explanation

HI everyone,
I have a MPC 2000XL and I was experimenting with swing function.
I understand perfect what the quantization value and the swing value is but Im not sure how works the amoung function. I have been searching information about it on internet and in the manual too and the definition of it is not clear to me.
I think O% of amount is more swinging than 11% and I though It was the opposite
Can anybody explain better how its works?

swing setting of 50% means that the in-between notes (o) fall 50% between the surrounding notes (O).
75% means the in-between notes (o) happen at 75% between the two notes (O), instead of halfway (50%) between two notes.

something like that. the quantisation settings (1/8, 1/16th) determines which notes are considered in-between notes as i mention.

But my point is this for example
I put 75% swing in 16 notes quantization with amount 11 and there is no swing and after that I put the same settings but with 0% and the result was full 75% swing feeling almost triplets
thas the amount means amount of quantization?

the 'amount' you are referring to is not for swing...
it is for note shift (later or earlier).
it shifts all your notes in the track either later or earlier, controlled by the amount field.
