It was awesome though, posting up coupons and fighting with each other. Thats the essence that keeps up fueled to stay focused in music. I even built a super stand I was so hyped. I'm glad I got it and was the first in my country to own one at launch. Good times, good times.

With the 4K as an exception
(4K can’t really be compared) The Live is the best MPC that I’ve owned. That little machine inspires so much creativity, and its so fun making beats on it that it keeps you in front of it My Productivity shot way up.

Even the stock sounds are very useable.

Man where l came from to getting that machine. Lmao yeah the fights, me just mentioning latency iver in GS got dudes up in roar lmao remember that? It was a hot topulic cause l didn't give a shyt what dudes were telling me to get l knew what the hell l wanted and Pettycash was the one to say, "IF I WERE YOU I WOULDN'T BUY A USED 2000XL AKAI IS COMING WITH A NEW MPC THAT WILL COVER THE FEATURES YOU WANT" LMAO He git my attention and l blocked all the bullish out. Then Eyaic said the coupon stuff and to where it was and the rest is history.

But the classic Ill Green is when you told dude in GS the MPC live is an interface, that was classic :worthy: those ere the days.

Now lm here the year starting out well in the first quarter! Plus lm loving my Live!

:worthy: So lm not alone thinking the same thing. Its very inspiring. Back to having that tight sequencer and exporting and bouncing tracks just makes me happy.

Oh yeah the stock sounds are pretty Dope-A-Matic

Do you have the mk2 version?
I'm in the market for a good feeling master keyboard and was looking at the Komplete Kontrol S61 mk2 but the manual says it doesn't recieve midi clock. Do those keyboards work well when controlling non-NI gear via regular MIDI?

I've been trying to find a good 61 key master keyboard with aftertouch and split but there is always something that doesn't work as good as the price range would suggest. The keyboard is going to be for playing more than controlling software. At the moment it's looking more reasonable to buy a synth with good keybed to be used as a master keyboard.

Dont go for k61 i have the fist version and midi out no its not a standard midi keyboard it works but not what i expected. The light guide nice obly when you have plugins that work with it.

I just bought advance 61 with the vip software. Its a beast but you need to build your plugin maps. Takes some time depending on your library. But definitly worth it. Altho let me take that back i have not used it yet with mpc 2.0 and my mpc x..

Thanks for the heads up! The light guides were one of the plusses on that kb. I need to continue my search.

I have the Advance 25 and the little I've used it with MPC 2 software it works great after I got the VIP 2.0 software properly installed. Also works quite ok with hardware, with some minor annoyances, like the limited use of encoders in standalone hardware controller. For me, 2 octaves is just not enough to practice playing, I'm using Melodics to learn and many of the lessons require at least 49 keys, after trying out some keyboards/synths I've noticed that I prefer 61 keys.

The VIP 2 software had some serious bugs considering where you need to install and what character system it recognized. It didn't work in Win10 with scandinavian character system as the default folder names were not recognized. Every time I tried to change sounds from the keyboard it changed to a default sound. After creating another admin account with English as the default language it magically installed correctly and started working.

I've since noticed that I just can't connect with soft synths, standalone hardware all the way with all of their quirks and limitations. A master keyboard through MPC Live and some synth modules would be a perfect setup to save space (and money).

I was originally looking at novations flagship keyboard..
us.novationmusic.com/keys/sl-mkii#

But to to liking vip 3.0 when trying it out at vendpr show..

I just need once peice of software for my vsts and one keyboard. If only mpc 2.0 was intergrated with vip 3.0..

Downsizing going with just my X and advance 61.. until something ground breaking comes out.. ditching native instruments.. if your looking to my K61 with the software let me know.

Down sizing was the best thing l did. All the sounds l can muster is in the computer and my Live and midi keyboard just go!
