Arturia keystep with mpc live

What if I connect a keystep via midi to mpc? Will I be able to use the keystep arpeggiator and send it to mpc live to play a keygroup?
The question is: is arturia keystep able to play its internal arpeggiator and send it to mpc live via midi?
My idea was a midi out from mpc to arturia keystep in to clock the tempo of arturia arpeggiator, then a midi out from arturia to midi in of mpc to play the keygroup.
Anyone tried this out?

Yes works fine but better to use the usb as the input as it also powers the keystep

Great. So if I get a keystep I can have the arpeggiator in mpc live?
Does it also work as an arp gate somehow?
