How to import 'legacy' songs?

So i read mpc live will open so called legacy files.
Is this in controller mode (with the software) or standalone?
I want to load a mpc4000 song but i cant find a load or import option in the software.

You just load from the browser like you would any other file. However I believe 4000 support is limited to akp and midi files, don't think they've done any work on this since the very early days.

Should work in standalone, not tested myself, but just load up in the software if you need to, save and load into standalone.
