Im a happy dude. 32TB of storage is sweet. Im putting the Akai content on one of the drives l have which l eill have more tha enough space. Its not flimsy got good weight to it. If you need to back upyour music you need to invest in one of these. Wish l had another eSata port l would buy another one.

Found the sp in Nashville. They are around if you look and even the ones on eBay only selling in the 1500-2500 range. If you watch the sps on reverb and eBay, the same ones get relisted. I even got outbid once and the seller came at me that the winner didn’t pay after I warned him, someone copped that same sp for 1000 bucks cheaper less than a week later.

Don’t pay the prices just watch like a hawk. People out there jack the prices up on you and won’t pay. Someone doesn’t want anyone else to get an sp. I’ve watched this since thanksgiving and it happens every time on the auction listings...

4000 is off to greener pastures, and the live just chillen helping me test everything.

I can’t wait to start feeding the sp with the pioneer... sound design heaven.

The OP-1 went out for repair, so I'm taking the time to tighten up my MPC Live chops.

Still the best deal for an 8TB drive. Like I said, the drives inside are the 8TB WD RED NAS drives which still go for $350+ on their own. Just buy the bestbuy one, open it and put it in your workstation or nas box. Then sell the enclosure on eBay for $25 or keep it as a spare for any other old hard drive. It's USB 3.0 so it'll be useful some how.

Nice bro! I probably missed this earlier. But what brand is that? Where did you buy it? I’m looking to upgrade my studio Mac. And I want to buy an array like that.

Dammmmm that SP looks like its in dam near new condition. Yeah that's a machine I could never use for myself, those black buttons hurt my fingers and that dam short ass sampling time. So are you getting rid of the 4000? Man I am putting that dam Live to use I freakin love that machine. That update is sweet and I am loving it, can't wait to see what they do with 2.1. I have no glitches, knocking out drums quick and exporting etc. Yeah man I had to get storage out the wazoo. Three weeks ago my power fan went out and I was scared to death about my hard drive where my new tracks were so I said EFF that when I get it repaired I am going to back up my backups! I shared cause if dudes need back up that's the way to go. They even got the 2 deck joint which is 16TB encloser so you can put hard drives in it. and what I love about mine is it has keys to open it, not easy to open.
I'm not one to have a bunch of machines, I just like to get one, master that B**** and GO!!!

That track is Dope-a-licious!!! Dammmmmmmm and it sounds good without any mixing, I told dudes you can mix on the Live and X and it will sound dope! That bell sound is clear ass F***!

Oh also I looked at the specs but is this drive Sata, is it 7200 RPMS, also is it 3.5? If its all three I will cop 4 of these! I don't use those types of enclosers anymore, I will sell all four enclosures at once at a nice price like you said, I have 3 of these enclosures, they are the best I have found with low noise ratio. I put in my new one last nice and it works like a charm and there is no noise, so I can mix correctly without noise. Plus they can take 3.5 or 2.5 drives and they are immediately hot swappable, I can just pull it out without dealing with screws, just pop it out and slide it in. If you look at my pics you can see them there.



Good looking out though for that I am hoping the 3 specs I asked about comes out to that, cause I will cop those tomorrow! I have seen some on ebay that's like $206 and $199 and they are the 3.5

I wanted to stay away from the og ones because they get so hot, even this one gets hot as hell. Dude said it’s been in a box for 20 or so years and I believe him. It’s really minty. Decent price too. If I decide I want one of the newer ones I know I can flip it, so we’ll see.

So far it’s really dope. Just need to get a handle on the sampling.

Yea, it was hard to part with the 4K. I’ve had it almost a decade and sold it for what I paid. Plus it’s just been sitting for years now. The live more than covers my needs.

Hopefully I’ll be needing some hds like you, don’t have that much material at the moment. Lol that one Richie talking about sure would be nice in the live if it’s compatible.

Eyalc, that's a G-Technology aka G-Speed enclosure for $129 four tower joint. Only thing is it has Japanese power supply all you got to do is get a regular 3 prong power cord and you're good to go. That's what I did last night and it works perfect, and it's quiet. I put a 2 terra byte drive in it just to test it. Remember this is eSata this is not USB, your computer should have one eSata port that looks like USB inputs. ESata runs faster than USB 3.0. I heard they are coming with 3.1 USB. Got mines from Ebay.

The one Richie showed is 3.5 and the Live takes 2.5, so it wouldn't work, but you can go on ebay and look for some nice prices for a 2.5 sata drive.

Yeah it's going to get hot because that's old circuitry. The Live at my surprise doesn't get that hot, but I have that tilt joint from Aukey and it has 4 fans and my live sits on that and keeps it really cool, though I have central air.
