So on the legacy machines I used in the past, pressing stop twice would reset the sequence to the first beat of the first bar. The MPC live does not have this implemented. Does this bother anyone else? Is there something I'm missing?

Wack... that obviously plays the sequence lol. The only way to reset the sequence is to highlight the counter at the top and use the minus button. I wonder if the X behaves this way too. Thats some shit they need to get right.

The play/ start starts play from the start
The play button plays from where you left off
The stop stops play back and sample tails/ehoes
For anything in between you can use the bar locate buttons on the MPC X and on the MPC Live the Locate button menu appears when you touch the "bars, beat, and tick" area.

I have a Push 2 with just Stop and Play. Their stop feature work the way you're expecting. Good luck 8)

You have to hold shift and stop and it will zero out the top beat counter on the mpc live . Its faster than highlight and plus minus or the big knob when you want to zero out before re recording a track . :!: :!:
