wich one has the best groove?

1st a hi to all of you, this is my 1st msg and surely not the last here..

i'm going to buy my 1st mpc, tomorrow...

i think i'll buy the 4000, i have just the fear that this box doesn't groove as much as the 3000....


does it groove like a 3000? if yes 2morow i'll be a happy 4000 user....

duke , they all groove , its the records that u put in that make it not some special groove. they are all computer sequencers. and yes the 4000 os the shiznit if u know about mpcs and production in general , so many little things that make a huge difference on the 4000.

i know it's tha sample who makes the sound really grooving, i was talking about the quantize things..

try to make a beat groove with the redrum of reason... good luck...

I will never understand why people get hung up on this question, and then continue to argue that a certain AKAI machine has more "groove" than another.

I'm sorry, this wasn't intended as a stab at you, It just really confuses me - it's a box which can quantise - you can effect the amount of "swing" to add shuffle to the quantise - that's all there is to it - and you can do that on just about every sequencer, hardware or software.

i worked a lot with reason , this thing may help but def. not good sounding..
a plastic & non swinging sound comes out the l/r...

hardware has much more punch , and has more (and real) quantize options...

Hmm, I have an mp4ooo which I used purley for live work. In my studio I fire up Cubase SX everytime without fail.
