Copy and paste between tracks (standalone mode)?

Would love to have the ability to copy/paste between tracks in standalone mode. Does anybody see this coming in the foreseeable future?

Tap the pencil on sequence area, then copy events. This should allow you to choose sequence / track / bars and beats, and copy from one to the other. Not in front of my Live, but yeah.

I don't think this works.

Copy just duplicates the selected notes later in the current track. This can be undone, because the goal is to copy the selected notes to another track.

But there doesnt seem to be a concept of a clipboard, and when I go to the second track, I dont see anything that does paste.

Does anyone have further advice on this?

Copy events is different to copy. MAIN > pencil icon > copy events

Depending on purpose, I do this in two different ways..

if I just want the same notes of say a synth, but for a different synth plugin, I simply copy/duplicate the track and change it to a the new program..

If I want to copy notes from one track, to a different track in a different sequence, then I go to the grid view and select what I want to copy, and then take notice of where the first note starts as far as time/bar goes, then hit shift/copy..

Then I go to the other sequence and the track I want, and back into the grid view, position that "line" that follows the timing (whatever you'd call it in English, can't recall it right now) and then hit shift/paste.

So you DO have a clipboard, and these notes will stay here until you copy something new in that way.. It's just not as convenient as it could have been..

Although maybe there's a better way and I have just missed it.. I rarely need to use it so I do not exactly look for it, when going to the grid view and copying stuff there works well enough..

But I can see this is also not efficient enough if you do it a lot.

Another way to transfer the sequence and keep the correct timing of its start point is to just place a dissonant note at 0.0.0. and remove that note after the sequence is pasted into where you want it. The dissonant aspect is so that you wont forget to remove it.

This is off course unless there's already a note placed at 0.0.0 in your sequence originally. Then there wont be any time shift.

Yeah it's not very elegant but it works. Can't believe Akai still hasn't managed to fix this rather awkward bug
