Old School trick for lack of track mute h/w button on LIVE

ok so i've found an old school trick style for the lack of track mute
yesterday i get back the MPC Live and made a session and my style is continuously back and forth from main page where i can trigger pads and track mute page, recording the session with the classic left and right (or sepratated tracks) with external hardware

so every moment i had to move back to track mute, due the menu + lcd (button) it crashes litterally my mood, that's my main problem with the MPC Live
u have that fraction of second, kind of some ms, after u press menu, where ur head waits to see the LCD menu and then press track mute
that "moment" it literally kills my vibe, my limit probably, but after more than 10 years of mpc i'm stuck with hardware button that let me to anticipate the movement of my hands, and is faster if u do this a lot of time (main windown to and back to track mute)

so due the fact the lack of the menu (shift) + pad function shortcut i find this djstyle solution, think about the tape on the record for the scratch, a visual reference
a really tiny circle sticker to put on the track mute "button"

this improved a lot the speed and let ur mind concentrate on the music only
waiting to some better updated firmware, and maybe the chance to assign 1 shortcut, here it is my solution

I hate to say it, but if your entire mood can be crushed by a split-second leap between screens, I’d suggest that the Live hardware isn’t the problem. I mean, every piece of hardware is going to have certain limitations, and if it’s not one thing, it’s another. Still far less vibe-Killing than the more of interfaces and cables and plug-ins that come w/ a software solution.

With any piece of hardware, we have to learn to work within the limitations inherent therein.

and i can confirm the lack of track mute u must go back to mpc2000
2000xl has its own button

I do the same for the mpcx. I put lil stickiers by buttons mostly used (sample edit, track mutes and note repeat) that akai felt the need to resize and change from traditional placement.

yes i've played on the x and noticed it too, especially lately using mpc4000 that has the best layout for track mute and next sequence

no idea why they put in the upper left inside other buttons, i feel u
