I have an MPCX and I'm using it on a Mac Pro running 10.11.6

Image

Since the latest update, any session created in MPC 2.1 software, saved to an SD card, and then opened in Standalone Mode will fail to load.

Steps to recreate:
1. Create a session on your computer using MPC 2.1
2. Save it to an external drive, one you can use in Standalone Mode, such as an SD Card.
3. Switch the MPC to Standalone Mode
4. Browse external drive or SD card for previously mentioned session.
5. Attempt to load session.

Can anyone here test this and see if you reach the same results? My homey C Major, who has an MPC Live, and I have both tested this and reached this same error message.

The session doesn't have to have anything special for this error message to pop up. Load a blank program only, save it to the external drive, and try to load it in standalone. This error will pop up.

I did this last Sunday. Started project in 2.1 SW, using live in controller mode, chopped samples, drums, bass, etc. saved it to desktop & also my Live's SSD.
Project loads fine in standalone.
I did have a vst loaded in SW, but otherwise no loss of data.
I'm on High Sierra.
It's odd that it's happening on both your X & C Majors' Live..
Not experiencing that yet..
Might be time to call Akai..
Just a thought, but I take it both machines are on latest FW?
Edit: just tried it now, 3/3 times loaded fine. Live moaned about the Plugin, but all data loaded.
Anyone else getting this issue?

:hmmm: Well. That did it.
all I did was reinstall the firmware. I was already on 2.1... just did it again.

Perhaps I should've tried that before posting this, but I'm sure it was installed.

Thanks for your responses guys. I'm good now.
