standalone warp stretching is a bit off tempo?

hmmmm, i feel like this standalone warping is a bit off.
i'm making a loop, say 132 bpm 8 bars in ableton live. loading it in mpc live in drum program. it says 132 bpm on the sample, i press warp, note on, and loop repeat. and when i put it at the start of the sequence, it sounds a bit off tempo, a bit wonky and shuffled. and when i turned off warp, it sounds ok and in sync.

can anyone test this?

i had same stuff with clip program warping in standalone. it did the same thing on my loops, but when i choosed another stretch algorithm in software or turned warping off, problem dissapeared.
i suspect some kind of bug in this standalone stretch thing. or it's just not the same bpm like in ableton (but that would be super weird)

The sample may not be properly chopped. You may have too much sample, too little sample data, or start, loop points may not be postioned well enough.

yes, i'm using ableton, metronome and all that. one more time - it plays fine in mpc live without warping-stretching. sample at 132 bpm, playing at 132 bpm project, triggered at the very beginning of the grid.
i set 132 bpm in stretch window, press warp - and it's ****. even if i don't loop it, and just trigger it to play from beginning. it's like it's shuffled or something.

I, as well, have had a few warp issues that I don't understand what has happened. When the warp doesn't work right I go back to the old time-tested Time stretch.

I have worked thru a few glitches while still learning 2.0. I'm on the Ren.
The more beats I make, I notice glitches like:
1. Random screen waveform display jitters after timestretch
2. In Track Mute , when I hit a pad a pop/click is heard
3. When I double tap STOP button I get a click/pop

These are a few things I didn't experience with 1.9

That's a bunch of bull Akai... Been trying to justify buying a Live or X but will keep on with 4000 until they get things right...

That's why l sold my MPC Live. Akai is like Covid19 , it will get worse before it gets better. :smoker:

It makes no sense FL Studio got it right before Akai. New Time feature is Dope!


FL Software been around for 20 Somethin Years lol. Two Decades to perfect Time Stretch Algorithm.

Akai Software is still in its Infant Stage.

Yeah I think there's some room for "to be fair"...

There have been plenty of examples of software trying to jump to different/new platforms and making a mess of it. I'm especially looking at iOS/Android as a target for some pretty questionable stuff.

On the other hand... I'd hope it was possible to just license some of the software and algorithms in the field today. Probably too expensive though :(
