MPC Live screen invert, use upside down?

Still sitting on the fence on mpc live. is there an option to use it upside down and flip the screen yet, layout is backwards for me and only thing keeping me from gettin gone really apart from cost, currently on 2500 and got a mpcstudio for when i gotta take a plane to a gig but wanting to replace it with a live

I’m afraid not a chance for this to happen..

i dont see how it would be hard for it to be an option with a software update, why dont they just release a version thats the right way round then haha

i think 2500 had the layout the right way with pads in the middle, transports and mod controls either side but mpc live is backwards, being that most are right handed (not me but for drums yes) pads should be on the right with screen and crap on the left, backwards to how the live is laid out, so easiest fix would be to flip it upside down with a software option to flip screen orientation and adjust midi commands to suit, easy as, come on akai make some stuff properly useful

The format is because the live's layout is based off the touch and MPC X is based off the Renaissance. However, the MPC 60 and 3000 do have the pads on the left as well. So its just a matter of getting use to it. My only issue with the Live/Touch and Renaissance/MPC X Layout is that Akai removed the Physical Q-Link Fader.

We spoke about this at launch and Akai is not gonna do it with these MPCs. The panel layout is just not engineered for screen flips.

Pads on the left are a nod to the 60 and 3000.

Perhaps when standalones of 3.0 appear, it could be used by left and right handers by flipping the screen.

The OP would rather use the Live upside down with all the buttons and labels upside down than get used to a different pad orientation? Sounds perfectly reasonable!

yeah would be totally happy to flip it and have the button txt upside down , i play my drums bass and samples with right hand mostly and a few ghost notes and off beats on the left, if i want to use qlinks or x/y fx it would be way better design if on the otherside, anyway will just have to cross hands over or get an external midi controller to make it an instrument im happy with. bought it today, seems ok apart from painfully intrusive authorization

Besides, all the cables would be point towards you as you used the mpc, would be super annoying imo.
