MPC Live Bluetooth

When will Akai update the bluetooth functionality to include, headphones or speakers. I feel like they are doing there version of sole propriety like Apple, Digidesign etc. have done in the past. Also, they really need to figure out how to get soft synths working on these standalone units, maybe via an e-licenser dongle or an iLock key, if the are already authorized on the key whats the excuse not to allow them to be installed on an internal HD, thoughts anyone?????

None of these issues are Akai's fault. Bluetooth audio is inherently (very) high latency, hence it's useless for music performance, fine for listening to Spotify but the delay between hitting a pad and hearing the result will be ridiculous.

As for soft synths, the Live runs on Linux OS and VSTs will only run on Windows/Mac OS, there are no Linux 'ports'.

plus the 2 gigs of ram would be eaten up entirely by including that

The killer feature could be connect to Mac/PC for running VST/AU

why? you can just use a USB or run midi to an interface (or wireless midi) ... the killer feature would be to accept audio via blue tooth from computers, phones, or tablets so you could run audio direct into the mpc..

another killer feature would have been to have all IO accessible via wi-fi in a sort of wireless AVB type of fashion.

those are all pipe dreams though...
