Maschine to MPC language transition

What's up guys.

I am grabbing a MPC Live and selling my Maschine MK3. I was reading through the MPC Live manual and had a question for you users who have made the shift or know the Maschine terminology.

What is the MPC equivalent for:

1 - Groups?
2 - Patterns?
3 - Scenes?
4 - Sounds?

I am trying to bring some elements of my Maschine workflow over to the MPC (in terms of creation and arrangement).

I would appreciate any input you have. Thanks!

1- Programs
2-Sequences
3-Tracks
4 -Samples

Not in front of my Live atm, so I'm about 98% certain that's right...if anyone else would like to chip in & correct me, please feel free...

That’s pretty much right. The op while waiting for your Live really look into how programs work. There are more menu/options with programs than with groups in maschine.

Pad link from maschine is pad layering in the mpc.

Thanks @maschinehead and @kaydigi. I will definitely bring up the manual and start reading more about programs specifically. I am sure I will have some more questions in the future too.

You also get gigs of sounds and you can sample also into the live without being connected to a computer.

Just don't get hug up on the flow of Maschine on the Live. You will be good to. Enjoy

@ Phdbeats: You're welcome, mate!!
You know you can bring all your library & expansion samples over from Maschine to MPC, right? Do that first before you sell your MK3.
Doing that gives you double the available sounds...plus a lot of the Maschine kits are better than the installed content on the live drive..(personal opinion, obvoiusly!!)
And if you follow Tutor's VST to Standalone guide, you can get your Air plugin presets to work standalone! I did, & gained 10 vsts!!
There is a fair learning curve & a ton of resources available, but it's soooo worth it!!
