Permanent pad color for samples

How do you assign pad colors to a sample that retains between projects?

Lmao, sorry bro, you're out of luck, the new MPCS look advanced, but they aren't advanced at all. Sadly your pad color is only saved for default program. Call Akai, they are dumbasses. maybe they will listen but I doubt it. They actually might just give u an attitude and treat you like you crap over the phone, call their Rhode Island location, just watch how they talk to you.

I am not 100% sure what you mean, but to keep constant in your projects, and that includes colouring pads, use the template functionality.

In the PAD COLOR screen, set up the pad colours to your liking and hit DEFAULT. Now all new programs will use that specific pad color layout.

From what I understand, if I make the top half blue and the bottom half red of a drum program and set that to default, every drum program will have the same color scheme.

What I was wondering was if I have a certain sample "goofy" and set the color to purple in one project, when I make another project and load "goofy" the pad would automatically be purple.

I havent seen that function to link pad colors to specific samples. From what I see the pad colors dont react to what sample is thrown in there at all. You could send in a request for that feature.
