Im really looking forward to purchasing a Live, and I want to jump on the purchase. But now that its been out for what? Almost a year? Not regarding firmware necesarily but im wondering what the future could be. Any possiblities of promotional price drops, package deals, or even LE versions? Im just worried about dropping about $1200 on something the next day the price drops to like $999 or something. Or maybe even a model with 4gbs of ram instead of 2 (i read somewhere hear that the motherboard for this exists). Any insight on this ? ✌️

Danoc, Eyalc and I bought an MPC Live on day one of its release and we only paid $959.00 shipping included. Eyalc said **** paying full price and showed us how to pimp these music shops. Ever since, I never paid full price for gear. I even got the DJS-1000 for $350.00 brand new (WHAT! :) )

The key is being human and actually talking to people by phone or up front in person. ;)

You know I oozing with illness :P

Well I had $959 on the DJS too but I had sold the Digitakt for $630 during its release, so technically it was $350 out of my pocket total :smoker:

Ill Green is right.

You have 2 options.
1. Buy the Live now.
2. Be patient until another MPC comes. That might not be never.

I wakited 7 years for the Live to come. Akai still need to get the X/Live up to par then think about making a new machine.

When the new one comes its going to haves glitches and the X/live will already be improved.

Well the 2.2 update was a bit better, isn't it? Full midi compatibility and midi clock now works fine, at least my Live midi clock is now stable and works fine.
Now we just need a serious Clip mode that doesn't switch off as you change track and some better effects, at least a serious stereo Reverb and maybe a multiband compressor.
Hopefully around 2020 it will be ready? :)

Still one of the fastest – if not the fastest – device out there for chopping up a sample, <> looping it and getting to work.
If there's something that allows for that any quicker than Live/X, I'm all ears.
