Thanks. I love using the X so much that I wanted to take it every where I go.

It won’t, you can still use the x in controller mode. I have the ren, silver studio, touch, and Live drivers installed.

Congratulations on being one of the few members of the X/Live club!

Two separate people who have worked with both devices in depth have said to me that the X is considerably louder than the Live. This is despite them being advertised as being identical in most ways.

This might sound ridiculous, but one of those people is Tube Digga. He is the guy behind the popular MPC Live/X instructional Video's, and I can't imagine him making that sort of thing up.

Are you able to test them both side by side? Perhaps if you can note any other non-obvious differences too?
