Peace, The MPC live/X is clean with no color. But theres a function on it that allows you to get a gritty sound using nit rate change. going from 12 bit all the way down.
So if you sample and the same is clean you can dirty that crap up and go. To give it more grit use LPF on it and putting it to the SP12 emulation you can't go wrong.

If you want to live the 12/13 bit era to the fullest sample with only one cable (mono). That helps with the process because you can only sample one channel at a time. You will always catch things you like or don't like with the loop by the time you sample the other channel.

That's a neat idea but everyone won't cling to that. They will want stereo.
