External Portable Battery Pack for MPC X or any MPC.

Just came back from a trip and a colleague was using the AIVANT AC Power Bank. It powered his MPC 4000 for the entire session and still had 75% left over after the 7 hours session. The only cons was the weight which was 3.5 pounds, so using a backpack is a good idea.

The MPC 4000 draws about 75 watts fully upgraded, so he could've used a turntable, mixer and small portable speaker. If you search Amazon you can find them new. I would recommend to never purchase used battery packs.

That is neat. I like that. That would be perfect for taking the live/X somewhere and there's no outlet.

Yes.. it would be perfect for that. You can also run your laptop and X/Live/other MPC at the same time off of it with no issues. It's not in stock at the moment but this will be apart of my future kit.

Thats what we are using since the hurricane passed. Its very good, looking to get another before the hurricane season begins. Used it mostly to charge but I've used it to watch TV and play PS3 during the disaster.

I had been looking at the "Omnicharge AC/DC Portable Power Bank - Omni 20" on Amazon myself, but that certainly looks quite slick as well.

The Onmicharge weight is lighter, however it's a 100W AC Outlet, and a 20,400 mAh battery.

It also looks like the other power brick is a relabeled device. 159.99 and it comes with a carrying case.

That's true but we have to remember the battery pack is only 200 Watts max. I believe the battery in the MPC Live is 3400 Mah and the power draw of the MPC Live is anywhere between 35 and 45 Watts. Not sure the MPC X power draw is. Do you know? For some reason Akai do not post that information.
