Anyone been able to record volume automation from an external midi controller on the usb port?? the midi mix works great but kinda pointless if i cant record my actions as automation.

I will do more testing but q-links seem to record ok aswell as midimix knob movements on fx sends and same with external midi synth automation on the midi din ports, not sure if it is a usb midi problem or that certain midi messages arent being recorded while others are, cant really find any solid info about this either

i guess im talking about using the volume rides to arrange a whole song so re-sampling i would be outta ram in 2min with 3-4 tracks. i will just have to keep nagging akai and hope for update soon

I think someone else complained about the midi mix on gearslutz. Don’t quote me on it, but it was said the the midi mix wasn’t designed for fader automation to live. Or it wasn’t capable of it.
