Finialy have time to start exploring the MPC X Pro. I thought it would be a little more intuitive, or maybe I'm expecting to much - I'm used to environments that are highly configurable.
Browser:
Its seems that the sample browsing comes down to the 5 folder that can be set to want you want , like sort cut to locations.
It really messing with my OCD
that i can't directly managed the Samples from the Browser and clear out things like .rex files...
Cant browse the MPC Internal files from the PC Software?
Demos:
When I power up the Demos are displayed, once a demos is selected or I choose my own - i can work out how to get back to the Demo splash screen, I found the Menu-Browse-internal option for loading, but no pretty splash screen, would be good if one could load own projects with picture to that splash screen.
Pad Colors:
When I was assigning samples to pad, there where no colors. So I wanted to use a systems of colors for types. I expected the Demos would be a standard that I could use to start with. When I have been looking for the MPC X default color schema, IE RED - bass kick, Orange - snare. I havnt been able to find it...?
When I load a Demo, I see the specific colors on pads, then when I change the demo by Menu-Browse_select the new demo, the pads are all Yellow. This was how I had it set on my Test Project. But it seems to wipe the pad color all all Demos till I power reset the MPC & 1st demo shows correct colors again....?
Would be great if you could set colors by the WAV text, IE Option for any file name with Snare or Snares to be Orange.
