USB 3 Cable noise in controller mode!

I get a noise/hum when I have the USB 3 cable connected to the Live in controller mode! Im using the blue cable that came with the unit. I've also tried 2 other blue USB 3 cables that were gold plated and it stills creates a noise/hum when the cable is connected to my computer. In standalone mode with no cable connections its super clean and quiet. I tried another interface with the MPC software thats USB 2 and i get no noise whatsoever but I cant use the controller cause of the noise/hum. I bought ferrite clips to attach to the USB 3 cable but that didnt kill the noise. I found a USB adapter ground loop/hum eliminator on amazon but im not sure if that will fix that problem or have enough speed to make the MPC live work that way its supposed. Im also wondering if its the actual USB 3 port in the back of the MPC!!?? I have no clue and I cant track out anything until this gets fixed. If anyone can help me that'll be great. I also wanna know if anyone else has the same problem.

Are you sure you don't have a grounding issue?

When you record do you also record the noise?

Is the playback noise always there or only when you play a sample?

Have you tried a different computer?

Noise is always there unless I unplug the USB 3 cable and yes, the noise is in the recordings.

I use the blue USB cord since l got it. No hum noise here

It’s a ground issue 100%...Unplug your AC power from the laptop and check again..I used to stick a black tape somewhere on the tip of the cord and the problem went away..Do a search

Is your laptop using a wi-fi connection? Sometimes these computer manufacturers use cheaply made wi-fi antennas that usb3 cables and ports pick up and amplify the high noise floor. The problem might not be your MPC Live, but the computer it's connected to...

I actually just bought a new laptop battery! Lost my original last year. There is a good chance the noise will go away when i run the laptop from the battery. The only downfall is I gotta switch to the battery everytime i sample and track out music which is kinda annoying BUT I will officially have a mobile setup with the MPC live. I really want to try the electrical tape trick tho.

I read about this actually! My wifi adaptor is disabled on my music computer, I have a separate laptop for internet. I only turn it on when i download updates and it goes right back off. I dont think this would be the issue

This is exactly what I do. Use tape to isolate the ground connection on your plug (laptop). This will kill the noise.

My battery comes tomorrow but I'm gonna try the black tape right now. Thx everyone for the help
