The Numark M6 usb mixer is still better than going though the MPC's Phono inputs. As long as the outputs of the mixer has low noise floor, it definitely will improve the signal and give you more control.
it would be hard to actually switch to and from. even though i dont think i would use that ever i aint about to have some janky ass shiiit in my set up. Then my paranoid self started really inspecting it and i noticed that the screws on the bottom looked like they had scratches on them like some glow stick fist pumpin n jumping dj **** boy bought it and opened it up and replaced some stuff then returned it. So i called amazon and told them the deal. They were like well all we can do is give you a refund . i said no, i want the mixer i purchased so i want it replaced. They transfered me to numark and i told them about the cue/mix switch and they asked if it was new. i said yeah because technically it was "new" to me. 
lol so they said they would replace it with a new one. before all this hot garbage surfaced i used it and i was listening to some records sampleing some kicks hihats n snare adjusting the hi mids and lows and that shit.. is dope. my drums just got 100,000 times better. now im fiendin to find some more dope snares n kicks to smaple and get them droppin. the end.CharlesRandolph wrote:The Allen and Heath Xone 92 is a nice mixer, lots of connection possibility.

That is great to hear that it improved the sound. It's the little things that bring life to the music. The fact that it has some EQ controls to it, is a bonus. Have you set the mixer and your sampler to unity gain?
whats that? naw immediatly sent it to numark waiting for the new one to come in! sucks so many snares and kick i wanna sample now and make them thump n crack. that mixer that dj krush uses looks dope. **** so much shit i want to get i need to buy a couple more lotto america tickets. lol

The goal is to have every piece of gear's gain stage in unity. Basically they all hit zero using the same
sine wave.
If you mixer has 4 channels, do the same thing for each channel. This allows for a more consistent sampling and audio signal.

Correct. However if you want to use the dbx or the eie pro. Just plug the outputs of the mixer into the compressor or the eie and adjust, play the 1khz file, until the gains until the hit zero. You'll be surprised what you can get out them. The issue with low end gear, is that do not work well when you over drive them.
