Mpc 1000 hard drive help needed

I recently purchased 2 mpc 1000’s and I’m wanting to switch the hard drive from one to the other I’m just curious if there’s anything I need to know before doing it if I should erase the drive first? And also wondering where JJOS2xl gets stored on the mpc I want to make sure I don’t lose that on one machine when swapping the hd any help would be much appreciated

back up your hd to your computer. When installing it into the other mpc you will need to reformat the hd which erases the content. the pasword is stored in the internal memory so you should be good to go the the jjos.

I’m not to concerned of erasing anything on the hd as long as I don’t lose JJOS2xl I’m gonna want the hd empty anyways
