Turned on my live and walked away to handle some stuff. Came back and the screen is flickering on and off and won't shut down. Did the whole hold it down for awhile to reboot, and it comes back to the same problem. Called customer support and of course they're closed. I literally can not turn this thing off. Anyone experience this?

It's Friday night too? Someone please help ya boy out. I finally was able to turn this off. Hoping I didn't have it plugged in all the way and switched it to another outlet. It shows the screen where I can select my last project. Just flickers to quick to select it.

I'm not sure it's the same issue. While their screen may flicker it seems they can still somewhat move around. I can't even do that. Appreciate your response though.

Try turning it off and leaving it off unplugged for awhile. Not sure what else can be done. Also maybe try starting it attaches to the computer so you can navigate with the compter screen to shit it down properly

unplugging it and powering it up unplugged seems to work right now. This is weird. I wonder if the power port or supply is an issue. Thanks Diesel.. this shit is crazy to me... I haven't had one issue except for this all of a sudden. I unplugged the power supply and it started up no problem. Either way it's under warranty. I was actually just about to pull up my Maschine studio after emailing tech support. Music will get done either way but I'm really loving this live. If it's a problem with the unit I'll just replace it. I've heard the horror stories with the return time though.. hope they're on point with me.

Dude it could be a shortty power supply, some wierd ground loop in you electrical system in your house or even power strip, who knows.

Here’s what you can do. Use it how you want until the battery gets low, and charge it powered off.

I keepmine powered off and unplugged for over a year and only charge it when it needs it. I would only charge it over night if it was low at the end of my session. I generally get a few sessions before I have to charge it at night.

I had a situation similar to you where I tried to load a bunch of big files into one project and everything seemed fine. Then I tried going to the main screen and I got what u had. I was so worried but I figured out how to do a hard restart and it worked fine afterwards. This was only after working on the thing for like 6 hours and having it plugged in for way longer than I ever had b sides charging it over night.

Also even if I don’t use it for a few days and just mess around on synths for a few days even a week the charge is still there.

Word up.. one thing I just noticed, if I eject my SD card before starting it up I can get it running every time. Maybe it's an SD card issue.. I'll be paying attention to this. I wonder if others going through this is for the same reason I'm dealing with. Is their an official SD crd recommended from Akai? I ask this to narrow down all reasons to why my unit could be bugging out.

After toying around all night, and buying A new sd card it was still freaking out. If I started it up without a sd card, no problem unless I put the card in. Went to the preferences and hit the reset tab at the bottom of the screen. Put the card in and problem solved.
