Hook both up to your comp. start the Mpc software and go to options select your midi controller from there.

You can also do stand alone by hooking the midi out to midi in on both units and turning local off on the Kronos

I don’t know what features the Kronos has in terms of usb midi but some do. I forgot that I use the midi in and outs from my sound card so I am unsure if the Mpc software will send midi over usb.

I will say compared to standalone that the Mpc software has more of a “lag” it seems when using external midi controllers it could be just me tho.

Have you tried connecting them yet?

so can you use the usb then?for midi with mac /pc and mpc software
whats the best way thanks .

With USB, you can ONLY use a keyboard for INPUT, not output.

With MIDI, two way communication is possible, using one in and one out. (You need to turn "Local Off" for MIDI on the external keyboard too.)
