Live Preferences won’t save?

I had the blinking screen issue that I resolved by resetting under the preferences. I’ve just now notice that my preferences now won’t retain after being saved. Anyone else know anything about this. The Akai Pro get satisfaction forum shows it’s a known issue but with no resolve being shown. Already contacted Akai technical support. Waiting on a reply.

Yeah, hasn't happened to me but I've seen that a lot lately. People on the Facebook groups seem to think its something related to internal SD Card going bad. Akai support should get it figured out for you, but if not you could try replacing the internal SD Card (after copying the built in content off) - obviously would void your warranty though...

Thanks but nah I won’t be opening it up while it’s still under warranty. I’ll just wait for a reply. I hit them up last Friday. Damn the tech support is slow to respond. This ish is crazy.

my guess is, that it has something to do with the internal ssd and the expansions saved on it. didn't have the problem for the first few months..

Current OS. My unit was bugging out flashing a black screen so I figured if I updated the firmware and do reset it would solve the issue. It did, but brought about the saved preferences issue. So I just got off the phone with a rep from Akai and was told they’ve just become aware of the issue and quite a few people are experiencing it. He wasn’t sure if it was a firmware or hardware issue. I told him he might want to pass that info to whoever is running the Akai forum because there’s a dedicated thread there that’s been there for months full of a bunch of people experiencing the same issue who haven’t been given that information.

looks like we are having the exact same issue.
i was also having a crash with the flashing black screen, pulled out the ssd, then it bootet up again (although slower than before) and suddenly i couldn't save my preference settings anymore...

Have you contacted Akai?
