Using a mixer to plug a mic into the MPC Live?

So, if I got this mixer (which has several mic pre-amps), would I be able to run this into my MPC Live?

Basically, I want to be able to sample my voice into the Live. I understand that I need a mic-preamp to do this. So my thought was getting this mixer with mic pre-amps would do the trick.

Does this approach make sense to you all...or is there a better, more efficient way to sample my voice into the MPC? Either way, I wanted to eventually get a mixer to have better control of my sound when I play live...so yeah, I thought this mixer looked ideal for everything I want to do.
