Akai just released a new controller for FL users

A good move, I'd say.
Tons of FL users out there, so probably going to make some revenue.

Dam FL and Ableton is getting a lot of love.

Akai needs to be on that dam firmware and software updates.

Gotta remember: companies like these need to be generating revenue (not to sound like I know much about business world but just a hunch), and I'd guess this, if priced right, is going to rake in some sweet cash from all the FL users of the world who've never had a dedicated controller.

Native Instruments just released their new budget keyboard controller. Vst’s arnt my thing but it seems like a good replacement for the key step. More features

I took business as a major so l know about the business side. But dam they need to take care our MPC business lol

I wondervhow this going to work when you have push and all these other controllers out there. Will people drop their machines for the Fire?

Ni a-25 or something it’s like 150 bucks real basic but I’m thinking if it’s usb powered and has midi over usb like the key step, that the 8 knobs would come in handy as well as other features it offers. Scales/chords, a real pitch wheel, etc

It’s really smart There are tons of do studio users looking for just that type of thing.

They mentioned 2.3 update will have marketing and something with a third party. Lately they’ve been working with reason and now to studio it’s a good sign. I think something got messed up with ableton after the first push was designed by akai.

Smart move. My son gave me his Live after getting into FL Studio. Those FL kids are going to eat this controller up. It’s a win, win to keep AKAI lucrative. Not everyone can afford MPC’s.. Got to keep the money coming in somehow. I’m willing to bet now that there are more FL users than there are strictly MPC users. Smart move.

I remember FL was a joke. Now its winning.

Significantly more. MPC is a very very niche market compared to DAW users, it's tiny.
