Running Akai Fire and software on separate Windows 10 Laptop with a USB Audio interface. Easy to use and did not need the manual. Made some drum patterns in FL with the Akai Fire. I've connected one of my MPC 4000 via MIDI and it syncs perfectly.

I won't lie as an musician, this feels like CHEATING!

2 separate teams huh?

You know how someone tells you something to pacufy yiu? This is one of those moments. I don't believe it.

We were getting updates almost by 2 or 3 weeks it stopped. Now l kniw why. Plus the last update was trash! They can't get it right! Seems like one team rushing and juggling to me.

So are you saying the Fire will work wuth the 2.0 Software?

It was mentioned earlier that there was two separate teams with onworking specifically on the Live/X and one working on the Fire. With the benefit of the Fire really going to Live/X users.

Cockdiesel wrote:Charles can you explain how it syncs up to the Mpc? Does it have a standalone sequencer?

There is no standalone sequencer.

But FL Studio software will push the MPC via MIDI out. As long as a interface is connected. Also the MPC can push FL Studio and use the sounds via MIDI in. While the MPC is pushing the software/FL Fire.

I know longer have the MPC Live so I can't test if the FL will work via USB as a midi controller with the Live or X. However, I sure it does, you just have to midi learn in standalone.

:WTF: Dam CharlesRandolph.
Does the Fire need an interface? Or can you just use the usb port to rock it with FL?

I watched vids on the Fire. Seen a guy play piano chords and melodies on the fire like a gott dam piano. Freakin ridiculous! Now instead of mousing in the kicks and snares they can press the pads. This is quite insane :hmmm:

Bruh, I'm just telling you what Dan said over at Gearslutz.. Just passing what was said. All this stuff on our end is just speculation as far as we know. This ain't my first rodeo with Akai.. Over the past 18 years I've owned the 2kxl, 3000 and the 4k, among other samplers and keyboards.. Akai has never been known for consistent Updates frequently. Ever. As far as what I said earlier, you can just take it for a grain of salt. The Live is dope even with it's shortcomings. They could never update this again and I'd still love it. Just saying G. Was just passing info I heard my guy..

No interface needed, however if you want to Midi external instruments, you need some kind of external interface with Midi out.

You said:

LOL So why would l believe Dan, Pete or any of them on the subject OF HAVING TWO TEAMS! I stopped listening to their sh*t last year! I came to my conclusion based on the FACT of their PATTERNS of up dating how they were constant then just rushed and effed up the ladt firmware and then this Fire drops? If ya ask me we should be on dam 3.0 if they got 2 teams. Not only are they not consistant but say
the most dumb shyt known to man.

This is not towards you bro lm just saying.
I love my Live also.

Just watched a more in-depth video of the fire. Seems to really give fl studio a more electron workflow. Pretty cool if you ask me. I can see a lot of people starting to use the fire and fl studio live.

I’m interested to see how the updates go and the integration with the live.

Here in the swamps, working in-the-box means working in one sampler, doing everything within it, even the mastering. :-D

You have to purchase the signature software to get Gross Beats. But I need that as much as I need Side Chaining, and Auto Tune.

That's our new group: Gross Beat, Side Chain, and Auto Tune.

I copped the Fire and FL 20 producer. I never used FL but thought it would be fun to mess with. So far the software isn’t super intuitive to me but I only have a few hours on it. I’ve been using Logic, PT and Live for ages. The controller seems cool so far.
